Many enterprises are pushing forward to implement DevOps because of the many benefits that accelerated software deliveries can provide. However, faster is not better if too many of the software deliveries have quality issues. Poor quality deliveries directly and immediately impact customer experience and satisfaction of all stakeholders associated with the development and delivery of the code. The conundrum is “How can software quality be assured at the accelerated speed that DevOps is expected to deliver?”
The continuous delivery concept of quickly replacing failing software quickly is a key idea that only works when the continuous delivery pipeline is engineered to produce good quality code. Testing must be engineered to keep up with the pace of change of continuous delivery. Test automation alone is not enough. How can DevOps testing be engineered?
The “Continuous Testing Foundation“ course from the DevOps Institute. DevOps Institute offers knowledge and best practices necessary to get DevOps testing right. The course explains people, process, and technology aspects of how to integrate tests, test creation, test execution, test tools and test results analysis properly into the end-to-end continuous delivery pipeline.
